Dave E. Wynn

Co-Founder and CEO

Dave Wynn has a proven track record of delivering exceptional financial consulting services to small and medium sized businesses, having built two national firms, and has a wealth of experience in corporate development, along with delivering distressed companies out of debt-laden situations into successful ongoing concerns. With over 32 years of finance and business experience developing a national personal injury funding group, along with a national consumer finance company, Wynn brings three decades of real estate and finance experience to the team.

With a keen understanding of the intricate financial markets, he leads our team with strategic vision and unwavering dedication.

Michael B. Dearman

Co-Founder and Principal

Michael Dearman brings over 35 years includes advising or representing companies facing financial distress, chapter 11 debtors, official and unofficial unsecured creditors’ committees in large and complex cases, and individual creditors. His practice also spans a wide variety of industries, with a particular focus on retail, media and entertainment, food and beverage, packaging, manufacturing, energy, and ocean shipping and offshore oil among other transportation sectors. Armed with 15 years of experience and buttressed with practical know-how as a former business owner, Michael offers multidimensional solutions and first-hand experience to distressed businesses and creditors alike as they navigate the restructuring process.

Helen Katz

Senior Administrative Assistant

Helen Katz is a Business Development Executive with seven years of experience supporting growth within financial and advisory environments. She works closely with business owners and senior leaders to open conversations around capital structure, liquidity, and strategic options during periods of change.

Known for her calm, relationship-driven approach, Helen helps create space for honest dialogue in complex and often sensitive situations. Her focus is on building trust, understanding each client’s circumstances, and guiding conversations toward constructive restructuring and long-term stability

Justin R. Alberto

Senior Financial Analyst

Justin Alberto is the North America Chair of Global Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. Justin also serves as Chair of the International Insolvency Institute (III), a prestigious, invitation-only organization of the leading insolvency practitioners, judges and academics from more than 60 countries around the world. In that role, he becomes the first person to lead both III and the equally prestigious American College of Bankruptcy, which he served as President and Chair from 2018-2022.

Justin brings a wealth of experience in analyzing complex financial data and formulating effective recovery strategies. His analytical prowess and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Wayne A. Holman

Debt Restructuring Specialist

Wayne Holman serves on the Firm’s Executive Committee and is a partner in the Restructuring Group. He focuses on representing debtors, creditors and distressed or special situation investors in bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings and acquisitions. Described as a “charismatic leader and rainmaker of the restructuring group,” Wayne has consistently been recognized by Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and Chambers Global, The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Jason Birch

Chief Restructuring Officer

Jason brings over 20 years of experience in the D2C industry as a founder/owner of UMG, a BPO – contact center and marketing strategy organization servicing many of the top household brands known across the industry today. With a background in sales and marketing to accounting and finance, Jason has strategically guided multiple companies he founded and led through several mergers and acquisitions. A solution-based vision has given Jason the ability to partner with and help achieve the necessary KPI’s and ROI models with dozens of organizations.
Most recently the Chief Revenue Officer at Digiverse Partners, a D2C Consulting and Marketing firm, Jason led the formation of all corporate architecture to revenue growth from his experience in multiple networks of CRM’s, Omni Channel solutions, digital saturation and various media
partners of thorough processes.
By overseeing multiple teams to understand clients’ initiatives in bringing new products to market, Jason brings a vast understanding of “best in class” course of action for scalability, growth and operational efficiency across many verticals and industries. He possesses a clear
and accurate understanding of the strategy required to succeed.
